On A Personal Note...
"This
is my family. The shepherd is 'Amber'... my wonderful companion and
protector. Amber was born at the Northern New Mexico Canine Rescue. Her
mother was rescued 4 years ago pregnant with 8 puppies.
The Siamese is 'Henry Johnson'. The big black cat is Sam, the tiger is
BeBe, and I have a 4th kitten that I rescued a year ago and named
Goldie.
As you can probably tell, I'm an animal lover and support the work they
do at the Northern New Mexican Canine Rescue.
I lived in Taos before Santa Fe. Vee, my friend, is the owner of New
Mexico Canine Rescue and Safeguard. She is a wonderful person who
rescues some less than perfect cats and dogs that would otherwise be
euthanized. She obedience trains the dogs, socializes them and sends
them to areas like Denver. We have an over population of stray cats and
dogs here. Some places actually don't have any mixed breeds, believe it
or not. We are continually working with the shelters here to spay and
neuter. It's a huge and very expensive endeavor.
